Key Features

More into Key Features of our Mechanical seal system

  • Equipped with a rim seal system.

  • Rim seal system is attached to the roof perimeter and contacts the tank wall.

  • System slides against the tank wall during roof movement.

  • Floating deck includes fittings for operational functions.

  • Tailored for various types of above ground storage tanks (ASTs).

  • Designed to satisfy all protection needs

  • Prevents horizontal movements that may damage tank features.

  • Designed to positively center the floating roof.

  • Dampens horizontal roof movements to a minimum.

  • Exposed material designed to meet or exceed fire-retardant level requirements.

  • Secondary rim designed as low as possible for increased filling capacity.

  • Evaporative losses limited to rim seal system, deck fittings, and exposed liquid on tank walls.

  • Standing storage loss and withdrawal loss are considered.

  • Compliance with basic criteria for cost-effectiveness.

  • Parts designed to be product-resistant due to contact.

  • UV-resistant materials used for parts exposed to sunlight.

  • Wear-resistant materials for parts involved in sliding movements.

  • Analyses and evaluates the working range based on Maxwell design input.

  • Complies with API requirements (e.g., +/- 4″ or 102-mm) or other local laws and guidelines.

  • Adaptable to different working ranges (e.g., EEMUA 159, NEN-EN 14015).
